This coffee is grown from the same plant as Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. Haiti received permission from the Jamaican government to bring the plants back to Haiti. The coffee is shade grown under a canopy of trees in the northern (Norde) region of Haiti which has almost identical soil composition as Jamaica. Both are volcanic islands. This Haiti Co-op uses local river water to power the processing plant and then recycles the water to put it back into the rivers. Certified Organic.
Nutty and sweet with a smooth, creamy body and buttery mouthfeel. Very low acidity.
